Join the campaign in the name of a tree mother… Appeal of many leaders including CM Yogi to the countrymen on World Environment Day

New Delhi, June 5. Many leaders including Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath greeted the countrymen on the occasion of World Environment Day on Friday. On the occasion of Environment Day, people were appealed to take a pledge to protect the environment and join the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh posted on Instagram wishing him, “Best wishes to all of you on the occasion of World Environment Day.

Under the visionary leadership of PM Modi, India has made unprecedented progress in the fields of environmental protection, climate action, sustainable development and rapid expansion of renewable energy. From going green and reviving the ecosystem to leading global initiatives, India has set a new benchmark in striking a balance between economic growth and environmental sustainability. The success of the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign launched by PM Modi has turned environmental conservation into a mass movement, inspiring millions of people to contribute to building a greener and more sustainable future. “As we celebrate World Environment Day, let us all renew our resolve to protect ‘Mother Earth’ and leave a green, clean and prosperous world for future generations.”

CM Yogi Adityanath posted on social media platform X and wrote, Happy World Environment Day. Earth is our mother and its conservation is our commitment. Today, on the occasion of World Environment Day, let us take a pledge to protect the environment and fulfill our responsibilities towards nature. Yogi further wrote that a state-wide tree plantation campaign will be launched under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign.

The resolution of nature conservation and environment promotion will get new momentum through programs like establishment of ‘Maharishi Charak Aushadhi Van’ in Lucknow, launch of Uttar Pradesh Clean Air Management Project, unveiling of ‘logo’ of Tree Plantation Mahabhiyan-2026 and notification of 100 wetlands in the state. After this, the journey of public welfare and development will get a new direction through the inauguration and foundation stone laying of development projects in Balrampur, the sacred land of Mother Pateshwari. Come, let us fulfill our responsibility towards the motherland, mother power and nature by planting a sapling and become a partner in building a green, clean and prosperous Uttar Pradesh.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, while posting on X, wrote that Happy World Environment Day to all the people of the state with the resolution of clean environment, green development and safe future. Let us participate in creating a clean, healthy and prosperous environment for the coming generations by fulfilling our responsibilities towards nature conservation, water conservation, tree plantation and environmental balance.

JDU MP Sanjay Jha wrote that the future will be saved only if the environment is saved. Environmental protection is not a one day campaign, but a daily responsibility of all of us towards the future generations. If we cannot provide them clean air, pure water and green nature, our biggest responsibility will remain unfulfilled. On the occasion of World Environment Day, let us all pledge to contribute to the conservation and promotion of nature. Even a small effort like planting at least one tree in your life can make a significant contribution towards improving the environment.

UP Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya wrote, “Congratulations and best wishes to all of you on World Environment Day. A clean, green and balanced environment is the foundation stone of human life, biodiversity and a secure future for the coming generations. To give environmental protection the form of public participation, PM Modi has called upon the countrymen to launch ‘One Tree in the Name of Mother’ campaign. Along with the resolution of tree plantation, this campaign also inculcates sensitivity towards nature, respect for mother power and future generations. It is also a symbol of our responsibility towards the environment. On the occasion of World Environment Day, let us take a pledge to conserve the environment and plant more and more trees and make this public movement more powerful and widespread by joining the Prime Minister’s ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign.

Former Bihar CM Nitish Kumar wrote, “Best wishes on the occasion of World Environment Day. Only through environmental awareness and public participation can we ensure a safe and prosperous future for the coming generations. We should together keep making positive efforts towards environmental protection. Even our small initiatives towards the environment can become the basis of a big positive change.”
