FAKFAK – Ahead of the grand event of the 2026 World Cup, supporters of the Argentina National Team, who are part of the La Albiceleste Fakfak community, have officially submitted a request for a public gathering permit to the local police authority.
According to observations by Tribun-Papua.com on Thursday (4 June 2026), the letter was personally handed over by the Coordinator I of La Albiceleste Fakfak, Imanuel Morha Ginuni, to officers at the Fakfak Police Headquarters.
“We plan to hold a peaceful and orderly parade on Saturday, 6 June 2026, as our first convoy to welcome the 2026 World Cup,” said Imanuel.
He expressed appreciation to the Fakfak Police for their positive response to the plan and also requested their support in providing security escorts to ensure that the parade runs smoothly and safely.
“This is our way of showing love for football, especially for the Argentina National Team in the 2026 World Cup,” he added.
Besides serving as a form of support, the inaugural parade is also intended to strengthen unity, friendship, and togetherness among fellow fans of the Tango Team in Fakfak.
“We urge all participants to remain disciplined and maintain public order so that the parade can proceed safely and smoothly,” he further stated.
The community representatives mentioned that the parade route will be determined during their first meeting scheduled for Friday (5 June 2026).
In addition, they also plan to conduct a clean-up activity at the KH Ma’ruf Amin Green Open Space (RTH) as a gesture of their concern for the cleanliness of Fakfak City, also known as the City of Pala.
For information, the Argentina National Team will play their opening match of the 2026 World Cup against the Algeria National Team on Wednesday, 17 June 2026.
