Just when we thought pastel lehengas and neutral-hued sarees were taking over the ethnic market in India, Janhvi Kapoor arrived with a subtle reminder that nothing is more iconic than the rich '90s shaadi fashion aesthetics. The diva wore a classic chocolate brown saree decorated with intricate golden embellishments for her upcoming film ‘Peddi’s promotions, and surely the diva managed to steal the spotlight.

She wore a deep cocoa-brown saree from Nidhi Halani’s collection, which stood out for its unique richness and nostalgic colour. Crafted in a sheer fabric, the ensemble was decorated with gold embellishments scattered across the drape, creating a delicate overall look. However, the lightweight texture of the shimmery drape aided graceful movement, while the structured silhouette provided a contemporary edge.

Her saree featured intricate zari work, heavy sequin charm, and delicate floral motifs with a heavy golden border on the pallu, accented with deep olive-green silk edging. This had to be the standout element of her look, adding great contrasting depth. But, if you think it’s over, wait until you see the blouse.

Janhvi wore a high-neckline, elbow-length-sleeve blouse which carried rich embroidered charm in antique gold threadwork and featured circular, statement-decorated motifs with mirror detailing that echoed 90s charm and craftsmanship. It offered a refreshing departure from the modish and contemporary blouses often seen on the red carpet nowadays, feeling rooted in Indian heritage.
