New Delhi. In a major administrative step, the Delhi government led by CM Rekha Gupta has transferred more than 40 doctors and officers in the health department. The government says that this decision has been taken with the aim of increasing transparency in the procurement process of medicines and making health services more accountable. The Chief Minister said that it is the priority of the government to provide better and quality medical facilities to the people of Delhi. He clarified that any kind of negligence, irregularity or indiscipline in health services will not be tolerated.

500 new rain water harvesting systems will be installed in government buildings.
New Delhi. With an aim to improve the groundwater level before the monsoon, Delhi Jal Board (DJB) has launched a massive rain water harvesting campaign. Under this campaign, the Jal Board has been entrusted with the responsibility as the nodal agency. In the first phase of the scheme, 500 new rain water harvesting systems will be installed in government buildings. With this, about 1000 systems already existing but lying inactive will be reactivated.

Strict action against those showing low price of property in Delhi
New Delhi. The government has now started taking strict action against the trend of under-reporting the value of property to pay less stamp duty while buying and selling property in the capital Delhi. Delhi Revenue Department has directed all sub-registrar and joint sub-registrar offices to thoroughly investigate the property registration process. According to officials, the government aims to prevent under-valuation of properties and ensure that the government receives the right amount of stamp duty and registration fees. For this, the declared value of the properties and the prescribed circle rate will be specifically matched during registration.

Delhi Cabinet approves ‘One Time Amnesty Scheme’
New Delhi. An important decision has been taken for the migrant families of Jammu and Kashmir in the Delhi Cabinet meeting chaired by CM Rekha Gupta. The Cabinet has approved the proposals to the Ad-hoc Monthly Relief (AMR) scheme, which will provide relief to thousands of migrant families living in the capital. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that about 1,832 Jammu and Kashmir migrant families registered with the Delhi government will benefit from this decision. The government says that this step has been taken in the direction of providing financial assistance to the displaced families and strengthening their social security. However, this scheme will be applicable only to those registered Jammu and Kashmir migrant families who have received relief till March 31, 2024. Eligible families will continue to receive monthly financial assistance as per the rules prescribed under the scheme.

Controversy over OSM system, PIL filed in Delhi High Court
New Delhi. The National Students Union of India (NSUI) has approached the Delhi High Court over the new on-screen marking (OSM) system implemented in the Class 12 board exam evaluation process of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The student organization has raised questions on the fairness and transparency of the evaluation process by filing a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in this matter. The petition alleges that after the implementation of the new Digital Evaluation System, many students have faced problems like blurry answer sheets, incomplete scans, missing pages and possible errors in marks.

In an important decision regarding the protection of personal privacy in the digital age, the Delhi High Court has considered ‘Right to be Forgotten’ as part of the fundamental right to privacy under Article 21 of the Constitution. The court said in its order that if old information to a person is unduly affecting his dignity, reputation and personal life, then it can be removed from the internet or hidden from search results. Increase in crop loss compensation: New Delhi. Giving relief to farmers, Delhi government has made a big increase in crop loss compensation. The government has increased it to Rs 75,000 per hectare. This proposal was approved in the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. The objective of this decision is to provide relief to the farmers affected by the recent heavy rains. According to government information, this benefit will be available to about 10,000 farmers affected by the heavy rains in August–September 2025. Earlier, the compensation rate applicable from the year 2015 was around Rs 49,421 per hectare. After the implementation of the new rate, the government will distribute a total additional assistance amounting to about Rs 33.32 crore under this scheme. (Read full news)
FIR against Saurabh Bhardwaj in Janakpuri rape case: New Delhi. Saurabh Bhardwaj himself has now come under the ambit of legal action regarding the case of rape of a minor girl in Janakpuri. A case has been registered against him for revealing the identity of the victim on social media. According to Delhi Police, an FIR has been registered in this regard at Janakpuri police station. Police have registered the case under relevant sections of the Indian Justice Code (BNS), Juvenile Justice Act and POCSO Act and started investigation. It is alleged that the victim’s identity became public through material shared on social media, which is prohibited by law. Revealing the identity of the child victim is considered a serious crime, especially in POCSO cases. (Read full news)
