There have been speculations on social media that the director initially approached NTR with the Peddi script and that the project later went to Ram Charan. Buchi Babu Sana stated that he had pitched a different idea to NTR, and the star actor asked him to develop it further. However, after Buchi Babu Sana got the opportunity to work with Ram Charan, the idea narrated to NTR was put on the back burner. Buchi Babu, in an earlier interview, firmly stated that he wrote the Peddi script with Ram Charan in mind. The director has not yet planned his next film, and he once again made it clear that he is open to working with NTR if the star actor asks him.
