Amid the ongoing controversy over vacating the residence of former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi, Jan Suraj founder Prashant Kishore has sought a direct answer from the Chief Minister and the government. In fact, while reacting on this entire episode, he has raised serious questions on the policies of the government and said that before vacating or allotting the bungalow to others, the Chief Minister and the government should clarify why the bungalow on Deshratna Marg was merged with the Chief Minister’s residence.

In fact, in his statement, Prashant Kishore also threw light on the background of Rabri Devi’s housing dispute. He told that Rabri Devi is the leader of opposition in the Legislative Council and on this basis she has got the house at 10 Circular Road. According to the information that has come out through the media, the government is asking them to leave this house and move to another house. Calling it a matter between Rabri Devi and the government, Prashant Kishore has raised questions on the double standards of the government.

Prashant Kishore targeted Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary

Meanwhile, Prashant Kishore raised sharp questions to the government regarding the expansion of Chief Minister’s residence Ek Ane Marg and demanded an immediate answer on this. He said that for the last 25-30 years, the residence of the Chief Minister of Bihar has been Ane Marg, which is already a huge bungalow spread over about 8 acres. Prashant Kishor claimed that for the first time, after Samrat Chaudhary became the Chief Minister, the adjacent Deshratna Marg bungalow, which was earlier the residence of the Deputy Chief Minister, has also been merged with the Chief Minister’s residence complex.

Demanded to fix accountability from the government

In fact, Prashant Kishor drew the attention of the people of Bihar on this issue and presented a comparative analysis. He said that Maharashtra is one of the richest states in the country, where the Chief Minister’s bungalow is limited to 10-15 katha. At the same time, the Chief Minister of Bihar, which is one of the poorest states of the country, is finding the 8 acre bungalow too less, due to which another 5-6 acre bungalow has been added to it. Prashant Kishore expressed deep concern over this situation and demanded accountability from the government.

Accused the government of adopting a double standard

At the same time, he directly raised the question that when the Chief Minister expects others to vacate the residence or follow the rules, then he himself should respond first on the expansion of his residence. Prashant Kishore asked under what circumstances and why the bungalow on Deshratna Marg has been merged with the Chief Minister’s residential complex located at 1 Anne Marg. He accused the government of adopting a double standard in the name of cleanliness. Prashant Kishor said that if you talk about cleanliness to others and ask them not to live in such a big bungalow, while you are building your own bungalow bigger than the Prime Minister’s bungalow, then the people of Bihar will definitely question.

It is noteworthy that the Bihar government had issued a notice to former Chief Minister Rabri Devi to vacate her residence located at 10 Circular Road. In return he was allotted a bungalow at 39, Harding Road. However, former Chief Minister Rabri Devi has refused to leave the bungalow at 10 Circular Road, after which this matter has been continuously heated and now this statement of Prashant Kishore has brought a new political twist in it.
