The Ghana national football team has officially announced the list of players who will represent the nation at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The announcement was made through the Ghana Football Association’s official Instagram account on Tuesday, 2 June 2026.
Head coach Carlos Queiroz has selected 26 players for the tournament in 2026.
However, the Black Stars have been dealt a major blow as several key players have been ruled out due to injuries.
Star midfielder Mohammed Kudus failed to recover from a thigh injury he sustained in January.
Meanwhile, central defender Mohammed Salisu remains sidelined as he continues rehabilitation from an ACL injury.
Additionally, Alexander Djiku suffered an injury during training, forcing him to withdraw from the squad. He has been replaced by Derrick Luckassen.
Despite these setbacks, Ghana received a boost with the return of experienced left-back Baba Abdul Rahman.
Key players such as Thomas Partey, Jordan Ayew, Inaki Williams, Antoine Semenyo, Ernest Nuamah, and Kamaldeen Sulemana continue to be the backbone of the Black Stars.
Ghana has been drawn in Group L alongside England, Croatia, and Panama for the 2026 World Cup.
