TRIBUNWOW.COM - The Saudi Arabia national football team has officially announced its 26-man squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will take place from 11 June to 19 July 2026.

The announcement was made through the official Instagram account of the Saudi national team, @saudint, on Monday (1 June 2026).

The 2026 World Cup will mark Saudi Arabia’s seventh appearance on football’s greatest stage.

Their best World Cup performance to date came in 1994, when they reached the Round of 16.

Saudi Arabia secured their place at the 2026 World Cup after a long qualification campaign in the Asian zone.

After missing out on automatic qualification in the third round, they eventually clinched a spot in the final tournament by outperforming Indonesia and Iraq in the fourth round.

Ahead of the finals, Georgios Donis was appointed as the new head coach of Saudi Arabia, replacing Herve Renard.

In his selection, Donis continues to rely on team captain Salem Al-Dawsari, who plays for Al Hilal.

The experienced winger is expected to be the driving force in attack and a leader on the pitch.

Additionally, Saudi Arabia pins its attacking hopes on Al Ahli striker Firas Al-Buraikan, who was in prolific form throughout the qualification phase.

In defence, the lineup includes Saud Abdulhamid from Lens, Hassan Tambakti from Al Hilal, and Hassan Kadesh from Al Ittihad.

The midfield will be reinforced by Mohammed Kanno and Nasser Al Dawsari, both from Al Hilal, along with Musab Al Juwayr from Al Qadsiah.

In the 2026 World Cup, Saudi Arabia has been drawn in Group H alongside Spain, Uruguay, and Cape Verde.

With a blend of experienced stars and emerging talents, Saudi Arabia aims to put up a strong fight in Group H of the 2026 World Cup.
