2 New Tata Electric SUVs Coming Soon – Sierra EV in June, Safari EV Next

Tata Motors recently introduced the with noticeable cosmetic updates and feature enhancements. As part of its strategy to achieve 30% EV penetration in its portfolio by 2030, the homegrown automaker has planned several electric vehicle launches over the coming years. Among them, the Tata Sierra EV and Safari EV are getting ready to hit roads in June and around Diwali season, respectively. Both EV SUVs will cater a different set of buyers across distinct price segments.

Tata Sierra EV Launch Date
While the official powertrain specifications of the  will be revealed closer to its launch, the model is expected to share the 65kWh and 75kWh battery packs with the Harrier EV. Similar to its sibling, it’s likely to be offered with both RWD (rear-wheel drive) and AWD (all-wheel drive) options. The dual-motor AWD configuration will be reversed for higher trims. The Tata Sierra EV is expected to offer V2L (vehicle-to-load) and V2V (vehicle-to-vehicle) capabilities. Previous official teaser have revealed that the EV SUV will feature a closed-off body-coloured grille, redesigned bumpers, “Sierra.ev” badges and newly-designed aero-optimized alloy wheels. Tata Safari EV Launch
Internally known as ‘Tayrona’, the   is likely to enter production in August, 2026. The EV is expected to share Acti.ev+ platform and powertrain options with the Harrier EV. While the Tata Harrier EV delivers a claimed range of up to 627km (75kWh RWD variant), the Safari EV’s range could be slightly lower due to its larger dimensions and heavier kerb weight. Similar to the Harrier EV, this 7-seater electric SUV is expected to be equipped with a multi-link rear suspension with frequency dependent dampers. It will offer multiple terrain modes. Key highlights are likely to include a closed-off grille, EV-specific badging, revised bumpers, aero-optimized alloys, OTA (over-the-air) updates, a 540-degree surround-view function, Level 2 ADAS and several more features.
