Chance to repeat history by winning second consecutive title

Royal Challengers Bangalore’s IPL history has been full of ups and downs, but the current phase is like a golden dream for them.

RCB had reached the threshold of the finals thrice (2009, 2011 and 2016) in the initial phase of the league, but missed out on winning the title trophy every time. The wait of years ended last year i.e. IPL 2025, when under the captaincy of Rajat Patidar, Bengaluru won its first historic trophy by defeating Punjab Kings. If RCB wins against Gujarat today at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, then it will become one of the few teams in the league to win two consecutive IPL titles.
