Although ‘Deedar’ was released later, some other films of Akshay and Karisma had released earlier. Similarly, Lara Dutta’s first film was also with Rajiv Verma. phase of monotony and burnout

After the success of the film ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’, Rajiv Verma started getting offers for mostly the same type of roles. He was often seen in the role of a businessman or father. Return to Bhopal for family and peace

This feeling had been growing in his mind for many years. He returned to Bhopal about five-six years ago. Now theater and fun filled life

Now Rajiv Verma lives in Bhopal. He has a small hotel. The children are well settled. Therefore there is no financial worry. He does theater most of the time, which he likes very much. He says, ‘I now do theater and enjoy life to the fullest.’

The sparkle has now faded

Referring to a recent incident, he laughingly says that some Gujarati tourists came to get their photographs clicked. He praised his characters, but finally asked, “Sir, what is your name? On this Rajiv Verma smiled instead of feeling bad. He says, ‘If people remember my character then that is enough for me. Forgetting the name is not a big deal.’
