Washington. After months of intense tension between the US and Iran, a major diplomatic success finally seems to have been achieved. US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessant has announced that President Donald Trump’s strategy of military action and economic sanctions has paid off. Due to this immense pressure, Iran has been forced to come to the table to negotiate on its nuclear program. Besant said that no other American administration had been able to achieve this success till date. Now Iran will have to completely abandon its nuclear program.

Trump’s strict conditions: Iran to hand over uranium and open sea route

Scott Besant said that any agreement with Iran depends entirely on the wishes of President Donald Trump. Trump will not compromise with the interests of the American people. America has put very strict conditions before Iran for this agreement: –

Iran must hand over all its enriched uranium.
Iran must guarantee that it will never make nuclear weapons.
The movement of ships through the strategically important waterway Hormuz will have to be completely freed.
Unless the Strait of Hormuz opens completely and Iran agrees to hand over uranium, no deal will be finalized.

There will be relief from oil crisis, temporary agreement of 60 days ready

Global oil supply had come to a standstill due to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz by Iran. Currently, about 2,000 merchant ships are waiting to exit the gulf. However, since the start of talks, crude oil prices have fallen by 10 percent in May and once the crisis is over, the prices will fall further.

According to Axios report, negotiators from both the countries have prepared a draft of a 60-day temporary memorandum of understanding. Its aim is to extend the existing fragile ceasefire. By Tuesday, all the conditions have been finalized, only the approval of the top leadership of both the countries is pending. President Trump has asked for a few days to review the final draft. If the agreement is finalized, it would be the biggest diplomatic victory since the conflict began on February 28.
