Knews Desk– Politics has intensified regarding the increasing electricity crisis in Uttar Pradesh. Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has launched a scathing attack on the state government and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Akhilesh Yadav alleged that amid the scorching heat, there are long power cuts in many districts of the state, due to which the general public is troubled.
Akhilesh Yadav said through a social media post that the government has proved to be a complete failure in handling the power system. He claimed that people from villages to cities are forced to face power cuts for hours. The SP chief said that children, elderly and patients are facing the most problems due to lack of electricity during this summer season.
Taking a dig at the government, he said that the “double engine government” only makes claims, while the ground reality is something else. Akhilesh alleged that the government is busy in advertisements and publicity, but the public is not getting even basic facilities. He said that due to power crisis in the state, farmers are also facing problems as they are not getting enough power for irrigation.
At the same time, the state government says that electricity is being supplied at a record level and despite the increasing demand, efforts are being made to manage the system. According to Energy Department officials, problems have arisen at the local level due to technical glitches and excessive load at many places. Political rhetoric regarding the power crisis is continuously increasing in the state and this issue may become more heated in the coming days.
