- How the hybrid system will work
- The range will be around 1100 km
Electric around the world of cars The popularity is growing rapidly. Even today, most people’s biggest concern is where to find charging stations and whether they will have to make frequent stops when traveling long distances. To address this issue, China’s leading automobile manufacturer, BYD, is all set to introduce its new DM-i Super Plug-in Hybrid technology in India. The company claims that this technology will provide a smooth and quiet driving experience similar to that of an electric car, while the presence of a petrol engine will largely eliminate the anxiety of long journeys.
It is an advanced super hybrid system. In typical hybrid cars, the petrol engine does most of the work and the electric motor only helps. however, BYD ’s DM-i technology is slightly different. In this car, the electric motor does most of the driving, while the petrol engine provides more power to charge the battery when needed. That’s why the company is describing it as an ‘EV-like experience technology’. This means, the car will make less noise, accelerate faster and drive more smoothly.

You will be able to travel long distances without any worries
The biggest feature of this technology is its long range capability. The company’s upcoming SUV, the BYD Sealion 6, is said to be able to travel approximately 1,000 to 1,100 kilometers on a single charge and on a full tank of petrol. This means that people can travel long distances without having to worry about frequent charging. Therefore, it is considered an important target for consumers who want to buy an electric car, but are currently unsure about the charging infrastructure.
Petrol consumption can be reduced
The car will be based on a plug-in hybrid system, meaning it can be charged at home or at a charging station. If one charges the car regularly, the petrol consumption can be significantly reduced. Although charging facilities are not always available, this car is claimed to be more fuel-efficient than a typical petrol SUV. For those who want the EV experience, but don’t want to rely solely on batteries, this technology can be a great middle ground.
The SUV will use the company’s famous Blade battery technology, which is considered to be extremely safe and durable. Additionally, the car can have a large touchscreen, digital instrument cluster, premium interior, wireless connectivity and many other modern features. According to some reports, it may also have vehicle-to-load and vehicle-to-vehicle capabilities, allowing the car to charge other electronic devices or even other electric vehicles.
