Deoria, 22 May. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that today Uttar Pradesh is being identified as “one district one product”, good governance, rule of law and a rapidly developing state, whereas earlier the state was identified with goonda raj and mafia raj. CM Yogi was addressing a public meeting organized in Pokharbhinda village adjacent to Deoria city on Friday.

During this, he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 19 development projects costing Rs 655 crore 45 lakh. He said that the people of Deoria had made BJP win all the seven assembly seats of the district and the government has also worked to speed up the development works by approving the development plans proposed by the public representatives.

The Chief Minister said that earlier during the Samajwadi Party rule, the state was known as “one district, one goon and mafia”, but today Uttar Pradesh is being known for “one district, one product”, good governance and law and order. He said that with the power of one vote of the public, a grand temple of Lord Ram was built in Ayodhya, while religious places like Mathura, Kashi, Vindhyavasini Dham and Vrindavan are developing with their cultural heritage and identity.

CM Yogi said that today women, daughters and businessmen are feeling safe in the state. He said that for those who molest women, “Yamraj waits at the next intersection.” The Chief Minister said that after the year 2014, there has been a massive change in the image of Uttar Pradesh. Coming out of crime, corruption and anarchy, the state has created a new identity at the national and global level.

He said that Uttar Pradesh has today become one of the states with the best expressway network in the country. Projects like Purvanchal Expressway, Bundelkhand Expressway and Ganga Expressway have given new impetus to connectivity in the state. Also, with the operation of many new airports, air travel has become accessible to the common people. He said strict action has been taken against mafias and organized crime and many mafias have been “ruined to dust”.

The Chief Minister said that today Uttar Pradesh is being counted among the safest and preferred states for investment, due to which employment opportunities have increased. He alleged that during the rule of Samajwadi Party, there was an atmosphere of anarchy in the state, whereas the present “double engine” government is giving a new direction to development along with improving the living standards of women, farmers and the general public.
