Phil Foden, Cole Palmer, and Trent Alexander-Arnold have been omitted from Thomas Tuchel’s England squad for this summer’s World Cup.
The German coach has unveiled his 26-man selection that will travel to North America for the tournament, with Harry Kane confirmed as captain. Several prominent names have been left out of the final list.
In addition to the aforementioned trio, Luke Shaw, Harry Maguire, Dominic Solanke, Adam Wharton, Myles Lewis-Skelly, and a number of others have not been included in the squad.
Ivan Toney earns just his second call-up under Tuchel and will make the trip alongside Djed Spence, despite Tottenham Hotspur’s recent struggles. Jordan Henderson also features in the group, bringing valuable experience to the camp in North America.
