Knews Desk– The women soldiers of Border Security Force i.e. BSF deployed in the border security of the country have created a new history. BSF’s all-women mountaineering team has made the country proud by conquering the world’s highest peak Mount Everest. Along with this achievement, these brave women also gave the message of patriotism by singing “Vande Mataram” on the top of Everest.

According to BSF, the team successfully completed the expedition by reaching the peak of 8,848.86 meter high Mount Everest at 8 am Indian time on Thursday. This team included Constable Munmun Ghosh from West Bengal, Constable Kausar Fatima from Ladakh, Constable Rebecca Singh from Uttarakhand and Constable Tsering Chorol from Kargil. These four women soldiers achieved this historic feat despite difficult weather and challenging circumstances.
Amit Shah congratulated
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also expressed happiness over this success of the women’s team. He wrote on social media platform X that women power has once again proved the invincible strength of BSF. He said that women mountaineers have created golden history by climbing Mount Everest and have set an example of courage, patriotism and dedication by singing “Vande Mataram” on the world’s highest peak.
Tribute to the legacy of ‘Vande Mataram’
BSF said in its statement that the operation was not limited to just mountaineering, but was also an attempt to pay tribute to the immortal legacy of “Vande Mataram”. This song has been inspiring Indians to serve the country for years. The women’s team was dispatched from Delhi on 6 April for their first Everest expedition.
Campaign to diamond jubilee of BSF
This special campaign was planned keeping in mind the Diamond Jubilee of BSF and the 150th anniversary of “Vande Mataram” in the year 2026. BSF Director General Praveen Kumar interacted with the women soldiers through radio link and congratulated them.
BSF, with about 2.7 lakh personnel, was formed in 1965. This force plays an important role in the security of India’s Pakistan and Bangladesh border as well as in the internal security of the country.
