Synopsis

Thailand's Cabinet has approved the cancellation of its 60-day visa-free entry for travelers from 93 countries. Most visitors will now revert to a 30-day visa-free stay limit. This policy change, aimed at reviewing immigration and tourism strategies, will take effect upon official publication.

Thailand has approved the cancellation of its 60-day visa-free entry scheme for travellers from 93 countries and territories, with most visitors expected to return to the earlier 30-day stay limit.

The decision was approved by Thailand’s Cabinet on Monday as part of a broader review of immigration and tourism policies. The changes will take effect after official publication in the Royal Gazette, as reported by Nation Thailand.

Thailand introduced the 60-day visa-free programme under the P.60 exemption scheme to boost tourism and spending by foreign travellers. Under the revised rules, most countries will revert to the earlier visa-free arrangement allowing stays of up to 30 days.
