Alisson Becker might be preparing to play his last match for Liverpool when they face Brentford at Anfield in next week’s closing Premier League fixture.
Since joining Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool squad from Roma during the 2018/19 season, Alisson has firmly established himself as one of the finest goalkeepers in the world.
The Brazilian shot-stopper has been heavily linked with a return to Serie A to join Luciano Spalletti’s Juventus, and reports now suggest his departure from Anfield could be imminent, coinciding with the exit of several senior players.
According to transfer specialist Mark Brus, Alisson has reacted favourably to Juventus’s approach, with the Italian club on track to secure Champions League qualification.
The Turin-based side currently occupy third position in the Serie A standings, sitting one point ahead of AC Milan and Alisson’s former club Roma. Sources indicate the Brazilian is “very tempted” by Juventus’s proposal.
“Juventus hold a strong interest in Alisson, and he has responded positively to their proposal, being impressed by their project,” a source told Brus. “Liverpool are expected to make efforts to retain him, but it’s possible, or even probable, that Alisson has already decided to seek a new challenge,” the report continued.
Another insider added, “Alisson is very tempted by Juventus. Inter Milan have also shown background interest, but negotiations with Juve appear to be at an advanced stage, and I expect that deal to progress.”
Reports suggest Juventus are ready to offer Alisson a three-year contract valued at around €15 million per season. The 33-year-old is believed to be receptive to the terms, though a transfer fee is yet to be finalised, given that the Brazilian still has one year left on his current deal with Liverpool.
Addressing speculation about Alisson’s potential exit before Liverpool’s clash against Aston Villa this weekend, manager Arne Slot stated that he “won’t talk about it,” while urging supporters to continue backing the goalkeeper.
“I’m reading the same reports as you, but I won’t discuss it here. You can ask in different ways, but our fans must support Alisson whether it’s his first or last game,” said the Dutch coach during his pre-match press conference.
Liverpool supporters who might have expected a firm denial from Slot will likely be more concerned now about Alisson’s future, as the club faces the possible departure of several veteran players this summer.
Alisson, whom FourFourTwo hailed as the greatest Premier League goalkeeper of all time, is currently sidelined with an injury but is expected to return for Liverpool’s final Premier League fixture against Brentford alongside two-time teammate Mohamed Salah.
If Liverpool were to lose both Salah — a four-time Golden Boot winner and three-time PFA Players’ Player of the Year — and Alisson, their most iconic goalkeeper, within the same summer transfer window, it could mark a major crisis for Arne Slot.
Following a challenging 2025/26 season, the Dutch manager’s leadership has come under scrutiny, and the potential exits of Alisson, Salah, and fan-favourite Andy Robertson could further strain relations with supporters.
Liverpool return to Premier League action on Friday evening at Villa Park, before what could be the final Anfield appearance for Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson, and possibly Alisson Becker against Brentford on Matchweek 38.
