A post on a man being asked to rejoin his former organisation is going viral on X. A Twitter handle named RecruitmentPQ shared an anecdote of a guy who resigned from his company two years ago with dignity. One fine day, out of the blue, the organisation asked him to rejoin them.
“He gave proper notice, did his handover, returned every company asset, and left on good terms. Last week his former company called him about a senior role they were looking to fill,” read the X post.
He was offered a salary three times higher than what he was getting when he left. However, the employee was not enticed. He asked the HR why he was never promoted during his stint at the company.
The HR replied they did not realise his value as an employee until they tried to replace him. He ended up accepting the offer.
“Two years. That is how long it took them to figure out what he was worth…” read the tweet.

Responding to the tweet, one X user explained that HR department are not actually focused on helping employees but to please the management. “HR departments nowadays seem more focused on pleasing bosses than actually helping employees. Instead of solving real issues, they act like management’s shield and behave as if they’re the bosses themselves
HR are scammers..” read a comment.
Another X user wrote how, fed up with the lack of recognition and reward, they decided to hand in their resignation. “Working with this company for 2 years, I gave in my best, yet no salary increment as promised.
I wrote to the HR, spoke to the manager, yet it was promise upon promise. At a point I made up my mind to take a leave because the energy I’m putting into the work is not worth the pay.
When they noticed I was mean to resign at the end of the month, their started coming in. The manager begged I stay back and for extra one month to at least enjoy my 50% increment. I still refused, I’ve made up my mind to quit and till now, I don’t regret that decision..” read the comment.
