Hidden in Devon is a pretty town that's the perfect destination for a summer break. With stunning coastal views, a peaceful atmosphere and scenic streets to explore, Teignmouth is a must-visit destination.

The town is even home to the UK's best fish and chip shop, which is continually flooded with glowing reviews from customers. In the past few years, The Jolly Good Fish Cafe has been officially the highest ranking chip shop in Britain, according to TripAdvisor diners. It has received over 800 reviews on TripAdvisor with an outstanding 4.8 out of 5 score. A visit to this iconic fish and chip shop is undoubtedly a must while in the town.

On TripAdvisor, one person penned: "We decided to try here after a local recommendation, and our order of large cod and chips was to complete our stay in Teignmouth.

"We were welcomed and served by Zed, he was jolly and the food was good just like the name!

"The fish was cooked fresh and was good size with a good portion of chips, which were not greasy. We shall visit here next time we're in the area."

Another person wrote: "Wow! This is one of the best Fish and Chip shops I have ever visited!

"I requested a small portion of both cod and chips - both were cooked to absolute perfection.
