The police conducted post-mortem of the body, the report of which confirmed death due to strangulation. He told that during the investigation it came to light that Devtadin’s wife Reena along with her lover Subhash Pal and his partner Guddu Patel had strangulated him to death.

The police officer said that after this, the police registered a case against the three under other sections including murder and started searching. The joint team of police station in-charge Satyendra Singh and SWAT team in-charge Amit Chaurasia received information from the informer that the accused were present near Duar Nala in Diha, after which they laid siege and arrested all three. ASP said, during interrogation, Reena has confessed to committing the crime along with her lover and associate. The police have sent all three accused to jail.
