WCL Vacancy 2026: Western Coalfields Limited (WCL), a subsidiary of Coal India Limited, has issued a recruitment notification for the posts of Mining Sirdar and Assistant Foreman (Trainee)/Electrical Supervisor. This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 444 vacancies across WCL's underground and opencast mines located in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.

Who is eligible to apply?
For the post of Mining Sirdar, candidates must possess the necessary mining-related certificates. Candidates holding a diploma in Mining Engineering along with the relevant certificates are also eligible to apply. Prior experience in mine operations is mandatory for certain posts.

For the post of Assistant Foreman (Electrical)/Electrical Supervisor, candidates must hold a diploma in Electrical Engineering. Additionally, a valid government-issued certificate for supervising electrical work in mines is required.

Application Fee
For the WCL Recruitment 2026, candidates belonging to the General, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), and EWS categories are required to pay an application fee of ₹1,180. This amount comprises an application fee of ₹1,000 and GST of ₹180. However, candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), Ex-Servicemen (ESM), and departmental candidates are exempt from paying any application fee; they can apply free of cost.

How will the selection take place?
Candidates for the WCL Recruitment 2026 will be selected through a Computer-Based Test (CBT). Candidates who qualify in the exam will undergo document scrutiny and verification.
