SBI Donates Ambulance and Medical Equipment to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University

On the occasion of Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti, an ambulance and essential medical equipment were formally inducted into the health services of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University. The donation was made possible through the CSR initiative of the State Bank of India (SBI), with Mr. Chandrasekhar Rachcha, Deputy Manager of SBI Maharashtra, serving as the chief guest at the ceremony.

The inauguration took place at the university’s health center under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Dr. Vijay Fulari. Acting on Dr. Fulari’s proposal, the State Bank of India generously provided a Maruti Eeco ambulance van, a Concordant dental chair, an automated hematology analyzer, and two 2-lead ECG machines for the benefit of university students, staff, and faculty.

The inauguration was held on Friday as part of the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti Festival celebrations. The event was graced by Regional Manager Mr. Tribhuvan, along with SBI representatives Rahul Sharma, Ravindra Sarde, Nilesh Sakhare, Branch Manager Vinay Raut, and Priyanka Yadav.

Also present were Registrar Dr. Valmik Sarvade, Dr. Prashant Amritkar, Deputy Secretary of the Accounts Department Dr. Sanjay Kawade, and Health Officer Dr. Anand Somvanshi.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Rachcha announced that the university would continue to receive support through CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) funds. Dr. Vijay Fulari also mentioned that a provision of ₹1 lakh has been allocated for the health center in the current university budget.

Dr. Sanjay Shinde expressed gratitude to Dr. Anand Somvanshi for his contributions. The event was organized with the support and efforts of Dr. Neha Menhakudale, Dr. Nohit Vaishnav, Smita Picarao, Nirmala Khat, Shagir Sheikh, Jagan Gaikwad, and others.
