Chhaava Box Office Collection Day 32: Vicky Kaushal's Film Beats Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal With Rs 564 Crore

Vicky Kaushal is on fire, and so is Chhaava! The historical epic has officially surpassed Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal at the box office, crossing a massive Rs 564.11 crore on Day 32. Meanwhile, Animal had collected a total of Rs 553. 87 crore.

That being said, Chhaava is yet to take over Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule which had minted Rs 1206.2 crore, after a 32-day run. Others in the running are Stree 2 with Rs 627.02 crore and Jawan at Rs 640.25 crore.

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Vicky Kaushal’s historical drama Chhaava collected Rs 1.46 crore on Monday, March 17 (Day 32). While the earnings have dipped compared to its previous days, the film is still outperforming recent releases like John Abraham’s The Diplomat.

On its fourth day, The Diplomat collected Rs 51 lakh, significantly lower than Chhaava’s Rs 1.46 crore on Day 32

Chhaava is also the highest-grossing Hindi film of 2025, smashing past the Rs 700 crore mark globally.

Chhaava is a historical action film based on the life of Sambhaji Maharaj, the second ruler of the Maratha Empire, who is played by Vicky Kaushal. An adaptation of the Marathi novel Chhava by Shivaji Sawant, it is directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films. The cast also includes Rashmika Mandanna and Akshaye Khanna. The film score and soundtrack album are composed by A. R. Rahman while the lyrics are written by Irshad Kamil and Kshitij Patwardhan.

Chhaava was made tax-free in Goa and Chhattisgarh. Last month, PM Narendra Modi praised the Vicky Kaushal movie saying, “Ye Maharashtra aur Mumbai hi hai jisne Marathi filmo ke saath saath, Hindi cinema ko ye unchai di hai. Aur in dino toh, Chhaava ki dhoom machi hui hai. (Maharashtra and Mumbai have elevated Hindi cinema along with Marathi films. And these days, Chhaava is making waves)."
