The Delhi High Court has granted interim relief to the children of Karisma Kapoor, restraining their stepmother, Priya Kapoor from disposing of properties left by Sunjay Kapur. Justice Jyoti Singh stated that the assets must be preserved until the case is decided.
The court also froze Sunjay Kapur’s bank accounts and restricted financial transactions. It observed that if the will is later proven fake during trial, it would be unfair to the children, Samaira and Kiaan. Questions have been raised about the authenticity of the will by Karisma Kapoor and Kapur’s mother, placing the burden on Priya Kapoor to clarify doubts.
Until the trial concludes, no property can be sold, transferred, or mortgaged, and withdrawals from certain accounts are limited to the children’s expenses.
