Lucknow: A case of cheating has been registered against seven people including Bollywood actors Shreyas Talpade and Alok Nath in Uttar Pradesh's capital Lucknow. This report has been lodged at Gomti Nagar Extension police station on the court's order. It is alleged that Loni Urban Multi State Credit Society (LUCC) was cheated by 45 people from 45 people on the pretext of investment.

Actors become brand ambassador

Apart from film stars in this case, the company's operator Dr. Uttam Singh Rajput, Sanjeev Verma, Sameer Aggarwal, Shabab Hussain and RK Shetty have also been accused. It is being told that Sameer Aggarwal is currently in Dubai, while Chief Director Dr. Uttam Singh is still absconding. At the same time, the accused are accused of cheating investors through chit fund scheme. The company claimed that the investors would double their money in six years. Shreyas Talpade and Alok Nath were made brand ambassadors to promote the scheme.

10 lakh rupees deposited

Anees Ahmed, who lives in Triveninagar, Lucknow, said that he met Dr. Uttam Singh about eight years ago. He described himself as an officer of the Loni Urban Society located at Gomti Nagar Extension and advised to invest as a government recognized. Anees initially deposited Rs 10 lakh and then motivated others to invest. At the same time, the company deposited about Rs 9.02 crore from 44 others in the name of membership of investors. But after June 2024, the company officials started making excuses and then suddenly locked the office in Gomti Nagar Extension.

Fraud by winning trust through publicity

Anees said that the company's registered office was in Ghaziabad and administrative office Indore. Artists like Shreyas Talpade and Alok Nath were promoted to take investors in confidence. Seeing the company connected with big names, investors invested crores of rupees without doubt. Now a case of cheating and embezzlement has been filed against Dr. Uttam Singh, Sanjeev Verma, Sameer Aggarwal, Shabab Hussain, RK Shetty, Shreyas Talpade and Alok Nath in this case. At the same time, Inspector Sudhir Awasthi of Gomti Nagar Extension said that the matter is being investigated in depth and the search for the accused is going on.
