Incidents like bank fraud have happened with the help of Aadhar. Therefore, it is important to ensure that your Aadhar is safe and is not being misused.

UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) has provided some online tools and services for the security of Aadhar. Let us know the measures to monitor the use of Aadhar and its security.

First of all, go to myAadhaar portal. Enter your Aadhar number and captcha code there. Click on the Login with OTP option. An OTP will come on your registered mobile number, enter it.

After logging in, go to the Authentication History section. Here you can see the information about how many days your Aadhaar has been used. If you get information about any suspicious activity, immediately complain to UIDAI.

After this, if you want to complain, then this, lodge a complaint on the UIDAI website. Call the toll-free helpline number 1947. Send your complaint via email to help@uidai.gov.in.

You can prevent misuse of Aadhaar by locking your biometric data. This service is available on the UIDAI website.

For this, go to the official website of UIDAI. Click on the Lock/Unlock Aadhaar section. Read the instructions and guidelines carefully. Enter your Virtual ID (VID), name, PIN code and captcha code. Click on Send OTP. An OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number. Enter the OTP and lock your biometric data.

After locking the biometric data, it can be unlocked whenever you want. This feature ensures that no one can access your biometric data without your permission.

Check your Aadhaar regularly and take immediate action if you find any suspicious activity. Use biometric lock to keep Aadhaar safe and avoid using it in unknown places.
