Ingredients
- 1 Cup Rice
- 4 Tablespoon Moong Dal
- 2 Tablespoon Ghee
- 0.5 Teaspoon Black Pepper
- 0.5 Teaspoon Ginger
- 1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds
- 8 Piece Cashews
- 2 Piece Green Chillies (spilt)
- 0.5 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- Salt
- Water
Cooking Instructions
Step 1Roast The Dal: Dry roast the moong dal in a pan and wait till it turns slightly golden. Once done, set it aside.
Step 2Cook The Rice And Dal: Take a pressure cooker and add in the rice, roasted moong dal, turmeric, and water. Cook till the rice and dal are soft.
Step 3Tempering: Take a pan and ghee in it. Add cumin seeds, cashews, grated ginger, black pepper, and green chillies. Saute till you can smell the fragrance.
Step 4Combine: Mir the cooked dal and rice with the tempering.
Step 5Serve: Garnish the recipe with extra ghee and enjoy it with sambar or chutney.
