LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana: Bima Sakhi Yojana was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 9 December 2024 in Panipat, Haryana. The objective of this scheme is to financially empower women of rural and urban areas through the insurance sector and provide them with new employment opportunities. For this, the government has initially allocated a budget of ₹ 100 crore.
Bima Sakhi Yojana is a big step towards economic strength and self-reliance for women. This will not only provide employment but will also promote women's participation in the insurance sector.
After training, women will be appointed as LIC agents. Graduate women will also get a chance to become development officers.
