Great news for government employees in Noida! Starting from August 1, 2024, a Rs 15,000 bonus will be credited to the EPFO accounts of approximately 47,000 new employees in Noida. Here are the key details about the scheme:
Eligibility for Rs 15,000 Bonus- Location: This benefit is only for Noida-based employees.
- Salary Cap: Employees with a monthly salary of less than Rs 1 lakh are eligible for this bonus. Those earning more than Rs 1 lakh per month will not be eligible.
- Activation of UAN: The bonus will be credited only after the UAN (Universal Account Number) of eligible employees is activated.
- The Rs 15,000 will be transferred into the EPFO accounts of eligible employees in three instalments.
- To qualify, employees must have their UAN activated. The Regional Provident Fund Organization (RPFO) has set up camps to help activate the UAN for new employees.
- If an employee leaves their job within a year, they will have to return the bonus amount.
- The scheme is also part of an effort to promote employment in the manufacturing sector.
- Employees who have joined after August 1, 2024, and whose UAN has not yet been activated, can visit the EPFO portal and click on Activate UAN.
- Additionally, Aadhaar linkage with the bank account is mandatory for this scheme to work.
- The company also contributes to the Provident Fund (PF) account, depositing an amount equal to the employee's contribution, which is 12% of the employee's salary.
This is a great initiative to help new employees build their PF accounts while also encouraging employment in Noida's manufacturing sector. If you are eligible, make sure to activate your UAN and ensure your Aadhaar is linked to take full advantage of this scheme!
