What is Bima Sakhi Yojana?

Bima Sakhi Yojana is a special initiative of LIC that targets women in the age group of 18 to 70 years. Women joining this program will be known as "Bima Sakhi" and will play an important role in promoting insurance awareness in their communities.

Key Features of Bima Sakhi Yojana: Eligibility: Women in the age group of 18-70 years. Priority will be given to women who have passed the 10th class.

Training Program:

A comprehensive 3-year training program covering various aspects of the insurance industry.

The training will focus on the importance of insurance and equip women with the knowledge to assist others in their communities.

After completing the training, women can become LIC agents or, if they have a BA degree, they can be appointed as development officers.

Stipend and financial benefits:

Rs 7,000 in the first year

Rs 6,000 in the second year

Rs 5,000 in the third year

In total, women will receive over Rs 2 lakh during the 3-year training period.

Apart from the stipend, women will also be eligible for bonuses and commissions.

How to apply for the Bima Sakhi scheme:

To apply, women need to visit the official website of LIC: LIC India.

A new application form will open, where applicants have to fill in their details like name, date of birth, mobile number, email id and address.
If the applicant is associated with any LIC agent, development officer, employee or medical examiner, his details should also be provided.
After entering the captcha code, click on “Submit” to complete the application process.
