For children up to 5 years of age, the process of making Aadhar card is slightly different from adults. Unlike adults, fingerprint scan or retina scan is not required for a child's Aadhar card. Instead, the process is simple and can be completed using the birth certificate or hospital discharge slip as proof of the child’s identity and birth.

Documents Required:

Birth certificate or hospital discharge slip (to verify the child’s age and identity).

Aadhaar card of both parents (mother and father).

PAN card of parents (for identity verification).

It is important to note that the Aadhaar card of children below the age of 5 years will not include biometric data like fingerprints or retina scans, as they are not collected for children of this age group.

Where to Apply for Aadhaar Card

UIDAI Portal: You can fill the form online and schedule an appointment at the nearest Aadhaar centre.
