What can be kept in the locker: Gold, silver, diamond and other precious metal jewellery, coins, gold and silver bars (bullion) can be kept in the locker. What can't be kept in the locker: It is illegal to keep weapons, explosives, drugs or any kind of contraband. Keeping food and perishable items with time is prohibited. No alkaline, radioactive or harmful materials of any kind shall be kept. Cash cannot be kept either.

SBI Locker Agreement: Customers can keep valuables such as jewelery and documents. Not cash or currency. Weapons, explosives, narcotics, any contraband shall also not be kept. Perishable or perishable items are also not allowed. Irradiated material, illegal material or material which is prohibited under Indian law, shall also not be kept. Items that may cause danger or trouble to the bank or the customer cannot be kept in SBI's lockers.
