Thieves broke into the bank - lost Rs.14.94 crores and 19 kg of gold jewellery
Gold Jewelery Robbery In SBI Bank Warangal District : In SBI branch, thugs have committed a huge robbery in Cinefakki. The assailants noticed the absence of a security guard at the bank and first cut the alarm wires. Later they broke the window and removed the iron grill and went inside the bank. With the intention of not finding evidence immediately, the wires of the CCTV cameras were removed. Later, 19 kg of gold jewelery worth Rs.14.94 crore was taken away. The incident took place at SBI Bank in Rayaparthi Mandal Center of Warangal District, Telangana on Monday midnight.
Locker was cut with gas cutter: According to the police, "The miscreants who broke the window and entered the bank saw three safety lockers. They cut one of the lockers with a gas cutter and opened it. There were packets of gold ornaments belonging to around 500 customers. Out of 497 packets, about Rs. 14.94 19 kg gold jewelery worth crores "We found that it was stolen. The thieves also stole the hard disk of the CCTV cameras. The staff who came to the bank on Tuesday noticed the matter and left it there," he said.
Disturbance at the bank: Wardhannapet CI Srinivasa Rao, Rayaparthi, Wardhannapet SSILS Shravan Kumar and Raju reached the scene and examined the incident. After knowing about the theft, many customers came to the bank with concern and the bank officials assured them that they would see to it that no damage was done. According to the CI, a case has been registered and an investigation has been initiated based on the complaint of the bank officials, and the full details of the abducted property should be known. Westzone DCP Rajamahendra Naik reached the bank and inspected it on Tuesday night. Two years ago as well, thugs tried to steal from this bank. He later hired a private security guard and quit a year ago. No one was set up again.
