Google has recently introduced several new features to its Google Pay app, aimed at simplifying online payments for users. These updates are particularly useful for those who want to make payments without a direct bank account link.

New Google Pay Features for Indian Users

These features allow users to complete UPI transactions and manage finances more easily, even without connecting a bank account. Here are the key updates:

UPI Circle

With UPI Circle, you can help family members or friends make digital payments without their own bank account. By linking them to your Google Pay account, you enable them to make payments on your behalf. Google Pay provides two options for sharing access:

  • Partial Delegation: The primary user retains complete control over transactions, while secondary users can only send requests for payments.

  • Full Delegation: The primary user can set a monthly limit (e.g., ₹15,000), allowing secondary users to make payments up to that limit.

UPI Voucher (eRupi)

The UPI Voucher, or eRupi, functions like a prepaid voucher tied to a mobile number. You can share it with others, allowing them to make payments without needing to link a bank account.

QR Code Scan for Bills

With the new Clickpay feature, simply scan the QR code on a bill to pay. This feature eliminates the need to remember account numbers for bill payments.

Prepaid Utility Payments

Pay and track utilities such as electricity, water, and gas all in one place with Google Pay’s prepaid utility payment feature.

Tap and Pay with RuPay

Link your RuPay card to Google Pay, allowing you to pay by tapping your phone at any card machine.

Autopay for UPI Lite

The Autopay feature for UPI Lite enables automatic top-ups whenever your balance is low, ensuring your account is always funded for small payments.

These new features enhance the Google Pay experience, offering greater flexibility for digital transactions without the need for a traditional bank account.
