Launches possible in Peru and Namibia in 2027

UPI is likely to be launched in Peru and Namibia in 2027. NPCI is the country's regulatory body for the retail payment system. This organization operates UPI in the country. August saw 15 billion UPI transactions.

Establishment of the organization to bring UPI worldwide
NPCI established NIPL to bring India's UPI to the world. According to a report, NIPL is currently discussing UPI in 20 countries in Africa and South America. According to Ritesh Shukla, we had discussions with the central banks of Peru and Namibia earlier this year. These banks may launch a UPI-like system by the end of 2026 or by 2027.

NIPL will do recruitment till next year
According to sources, UPI was also discussed seriously with Ranwada. Ritesh Shukla and the Bank of Rwanda refused to comment. According to Ritesh Shuklan, NIPL is tying up with other countries' real-time payment systems. It also includes Singapore's Paynow. We have entered into 7 such MoUs. NIPL currently has 60 members. Now the team will be expanded in March 2025. He said that some of the company's employees are in Singapore and some countries in the Middle East.
