These important documents are required

To update your Aadhaar card, you must keep two important documents with you. First is your identity card and second is address proof. Usually Aadhaar card update is done at Aadhaar centre, for which a fee of Rs 50 is charged, but according to UIDAI, this service is going to be absolutely free till 14th September. For which you will need your PAN card and voter ID card.

If you have a mobile or laptop, then you have to login to the UIDAI website. After this, click on the option of Update Aadhaar, now generate OTP by entering the Aadhaar number and login. After this click on Document Update and Verify. After this process is done, upload a copy of the scan of identity card and address proof from the drop list below. After clicking on submit, you will get a request number and the form will be submitted. You can check the status of the update from the request number. After a few days your Aadhaar card will be updated.
