However, this free Aadhaar service will be available on My Aadhaar portal. If you go to an Aadhaar centre and update your Aadhaar via offline mode, you will have to pay a service charge of Rs 50, which is currently free for the online mode.

Update this way sitting at home

You have to visit UIDAI website myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/.
Then you will have to tap on the option of Update Aadhaar.
After this you will have to login by entering Aadhaar number and OTP.
Then you have to verify by clicking on document update.
Scans of identity card and address proof will have to be uploaded in the drop down menu.
After this you have to click on the Submit button.
A request number will be generated for you.
After this you will be able to check the status of Aadhaar update.
