Withdrawing money from your Provident Fund (PF) account has become easier with the option to do it online. The Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has streamlined the process, allowing employees to access their savings without visiting an EPFO office. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you withdraw money from your PF account online.
Step 1:Ensure UAN Activation
Before you begin, make sure that your Universal Account Number (UAN) is activated and linked with yourAadhaar, bank account, and PAN. The UAN serves as a unique identifier for all employees and is necessary for online PF withdrawals.
Step 2: Log in to the EPFO Porta]
Visit the official EPFo website at https://www.epfindia.gov.in and log in using your UAN and password. If you haven't registered, you can do so by clicking on the 'Activate UAN' option.
Step 3:Navigate to the Online Services
Once logged in, go to the 'online Services' tab in the menu and select 'claim (Form-31, 19, 10c & 10D).
This will direct you to a new page where you can submit your PF withdrawal request.
Step 4: Verify Your Details
On the claim page, your details such as name, date of birth, and bank account information will be displayed. Make sure these details are accurate, as any discrepancies could delay the process
Step 5: Submit Your claim
Under the 'I Want to Apply For' section, you'll see various options such as PF withdrawal, pension withdrawal, or PF advance. Select the appropriate option based on your requirements.
If you're withdrawing your full PF balance, choose 'PF Final Settlement (Form 19). For pension withdrawal, select 'Pension Withdrawal (Form 10c). For partial withdrawals or advances, select 'PFAdvance(Form 31).
Step 6: Provide Reason and Upload DocumentsAfter selecting your desired claim type, you may be asked to provide a reason for withdrawal. For example, if you're applying for a PF advance, you'll need to specify the reason, such as medical expenses, marriage, or home renovation. You may also need to upload supporting documents based on the reason selected.
Step 7:Authenticate with Aadhaar OTP
After filling in the required information, click on 'Get Aadhaar OTP, You'll receive a one-time password(OTP) on your registered mobile number linked with Aadhaar. Enter the OTP to authenticate your claim. Step 8:Track Your Claim Status
Once submitted, your claim will be processed, and you can track its status under the "Track Claim Statustab. It usually takes 10-15 days for the money to be credited to your bank account. Withdrawing money from your PF account online is a straightforward process, provided your UAN is active and linked with the necessary documents.
