The brutal rape and murder case of a 31-year-old trainee doctor in Kolkata's RG Kar Hospital shook the entire nation. Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor, to Ayushmann Khurrana voiced their opinions against this heinous crime. Another group of celebs joined them, demanding justice for the victim. The list included Malaika Arora, Preity Zinta, Ritiesh, and Genelia Deshmukh. Read on to know what they wrote about the incident:
Celebs on Kolkata rape and murder caseBoth Ritiesh and Genelia shared a post that read, "Imagine your legs being so forcefully pulled apart, that your pelvis breaks. Your neck strangled till your mouth bleeds. The specs you wear, crushed hard into your eyes. Imagine all this happening to you while all you were doing was saving someone else's life. This isn't a horror story. It's the reality of the 2nd year PG of Chest Medicine, RG Kar Medical College. This isn't about doctors anymore. It's about humanity, if any left. Speak up, don't let this die!" They also captioned their posts demanding justice for the victim. Take a look:
Actress Preity who has been away from the limelight for quite some time, could not stop herself from sharing her thoughts on this. She penned a long note and a part of the note read, "It's time WOMEN'S SAFETY is PRIORITIZED by the government. It's heartbreaking & disgusting to see a rapist's face hidden/covered when arrested, while victims of rape & violent sexual crime have their names and faces leaked in the media. Justice is never swift, punishment is never severe & people are never held accountable."
For the unversed, the victim got raped and murdered at the very same hospital where she was serving as a trainee doctor. She was on 36-hour duty while she became prey to the unforgivable crime.
