Along with this, they will also get back the amount deducted from September 2013 till now. The Employees Provident Fund Organization has said that the deductions being made under GIS from the salary of all the employees who joined EPFO after 1.9.2013 should be stopped immediately. So, if you have joined the job here on this date, then you are going to get a bumper benefit.
Salary of employees will increase
So, due to this big update of the Employees Provident Fund Organization, GIS has been stopped for government employees, their salary will increase. Regarding this, experts say that due to the stoppage of deductions under GIS, the take-home salary of the employees will not only increase but they will also get other benefits.
Due to which, as before, deductions were made from the monthly salary of the employees as per their pay scale to fund the GIS. In such a situation, now the deduction will stop for these employees as this scheme is not implemented.
