LPG Cylinder: Rs.300 discount on cooking gas cylinder.. Center's key announcement!

LPG Cylinder: As the BJP did not get full majority at the centre, the NDA government is taking decisions very carefully. The government is making sure that the poor people are not alienated. Let's see the latest decision taken in this order.


Recently, along with the reduction in the price of 19 kg LPG cylinder, it has been learned that the central government will continue the already Rs.300 subsidy (reduction) on 14.2 kg LPG cylinder for another 9 months. It is also informed that the price of 5 kg cylinder will also take favorable decisions. The central government has decided to give a subsidy of Rs.300 per cylinder till 31 March 2025 under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. After that, a decision will be taken next year whether to continue the subsidy or not.

In the financial year 2024-25, the central government will have to spend Rs.12,000 crores to provide a subsidy of Rs.300 per LPG cylinder. This subsidy will be directly credited in the bank accounts of the beneficiaries. Generally this subsidy is applicable for 12 cylinders per year per family. Therefore, there is no need to stress whether this subsidy will be lifted now. As if there is no problem till March 31, 2025.

If you want to get this LPG subsidy, you can get it through Aadhaar card. For this.. first.. go to official portal http://mylpg.in/index.aspx .. click on 'FORMS' option. Then click on 'PAHAL Joining Form'. Now an application form will appear on the screen. Download it and take a print. Fill in the required details.

Then submit the form to your LPG distributor and bank. This form consists of Part 1, Part B and Part C. All the details should be filled in with utmost accuracy. Also, the xerox copies of the documents requested in the form should also be attached. Aadhaar card number should be given in Part B. Also.. Some of the form will ask for your LPG connection details. Part C will ask for bank account details. After submitting the form to the LPG distributor, the bank must take the acknowledgment slip issued for proof of such submission. A few days after that.. you are likely to get this subsidy.
