How to know balance through SMS?
Step 1: Open the messaging app on your smartphone. Start writing a new message.

Step 2: In the message you are typing, type EPFOHO UAN ENG. Enter your 12-digit UAN where it says UAN. Typing ENG at the end will give you the answer in English. If you want the same answer in Telugu, type TEL where you see ENG.

Step 3: SMS that message to 7738299899.

After a while, you will receive an SMS from EPFO ​​with your latest PF contribution, and current balance details. This facility is available in 10 languages.
Things to remember
Send this SMS from your registered mobile number only.
EPFO sends details of member's balance and last PF contribution along with KYC updates.
Login to EPFO ​​portals and enter their details.
If this is the case, the message will not come
If your employer has not digitally verified and submitted your Aadhaar, PAN, or Bank account details, you may not receive the SMS notification. If this happens, please contact your current employer immediately to know about your EPF balance.

UAN Activation
EPF account holders must first activate their UAN. EPFO member should enter their mobile number in the portal. This process needs to be completed only once before receiving messages about their EPF balances through the SMS facility.
