Before making UPI payments without an internet connection, you will have to set up your account. For this, you have to dial *99# on your phone. After this, you have to select the language and give your bank-related information like your name and the first four letters of the IFSC code. After this, you will get to see the list of banks on the number listed in your bank. Select the payment bank from this list and enter the last six digits and the expiry date of your debit card. After this, the UPI payment process will be completed without an internet connection.
How to make UPI payment without internet
To make payment, you have to dial *99# in your phone and then press 1.
After this, enter the UPI ID/bank account number/phone number of the person to whom you want to send money.
Now enter the amount of money you want to send and the UPI PIN.
By doing this your payment will be successful.
(Remember, for using *99# service, you are charged Rs 0.50 and with this service, you will be able to transact up to Rs 5,000.)

UPI Lite will also allow payment without internet
For your information, let us tell you that you can make payments without the internet through UPI Lite. You can set up UPI Lite in any app like PhonePe, GooglePay, Paytm or BHIM. A maximum payment of Rs 2,000 can be made in a day through UPI Lite. To make a payment through UPI Lite, you have to add money to the Lite wallet. After that, you will be able to make payment.
