Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh High Court has given a big blow to former judicial officer and Twisha’s mother-in-law Giribala Singh in the most talked about Twisha Sharma death case of Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. The court has canceled his anticipatory bail. Now CBI can arrest him.

Important decision of High Court

The High Court had reserved the decision after the hearing on Wednesday. The verdict was announced late at night. A single bench of Justice Devnarayan Mishra said that the trial court did not pay attention to important evidence like post-mortem report, WhatsApp chat, statements of witnesses and case diary. The court accepted that there were many antemortem injuries on the body of deceased Twisha, which could not be ignored.

Describing the matter as very serious and sensitive, the court said that more caution should have been taken while giving relief like anticipatory bail. The anticipatory bail granted on 15 May 2026 has now been cancelled.

CBI allegation

During the hearing, the state government and CBI alleged that Giribala Singh was not cooperating in the investigation. Despite receiving the notice, he refrained from giving any statement. It was also mentioned that some parts of the CCTV footage had been leaked to the media.

CBI’s swift investigation

CBI is investigating this entire matter. On Wednesday, the investigation team took Twisha’s husband Samarth Singh to his home and recreated the crime scene for three hours. The forensic team collected evidence from the scene and also prepared 3D images. Samarth Singh has been kept in CBI custody till 29 May 2026. During the investigation, Samarth Singh’s cousin was also interrogated.

During the investigation, Samarth Singh met his mother Giribala Singh. Both were made to sit face to face and interrogated. This was the first time after Twisha’s death that mother and son were seen together. Samarth remained quiet, while Giribala Singh was seen talking.

Model and actress Twisha Sharma died under suspicious circumstances on 12 May 2026. After this, her husband Samarth Singh had absconded, while her mother Giribala Singh had earlier taken anticipatory bail from Bhopal District Court. After this decision of the High Court, the matter has taken a new turn. CBI can now arrest Giribala Singh soon. The discussion on the entire matter has intensified in Bhopal.
