Under the Jal Ganga Augmentation Campaign in Madhya Pradesh, Shipra Tirtha Parikrama will be organized in Ujjain on 25-26 May and Sadanira Samagam will be organized in Bhopal from 27 May to 2 June. The programs will be attended by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, Maithili Thakur, the Indian Navy Band and several international representatives.

Bhopal. In Madhya Pradesh, a large-scale campaign regarding water conservation is being run under the leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav. Jal Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan, which started with the aim of conservation and promotion of rivers, ponds and traditional water structures, has now taken the form of a widespread people's movement with public participation. So far, 1 lakh 77 thousand 121 water conservation works have been completed in the state.

In this series, Shipra Tirtha Parikrama will be organized by Maharaja Vikramaditya Shodhpeeth in Ujjain on 25th and 26th May. Sadanira Samagam will be organized by Veer Bharat Trust in the capital Bhopal from 27th May to 2nd June. This information was given by Chief Minister's Cultural Advisor, Director of Maharaja Vikramaditya Shodhpeeth and Trustee Secretary of Veer Bharat Trust Shri Ram Tiwari in the press conference.

Grand Shipra Tirtha Parikrama will be held in Ujjain

Shri Ram Tiwari said that the Shipra Tirtha Parikrama organized on the occasion of Ganga Dashami has special significance from religious and cultural point of view. On May 25, this yatra will start from Ramghat and reach Dutt Akhara Ghat via Narsingh Ghat, Karkaraj Temple, Observatory, Mahamrityunjay Dwar, Prashantidham Shani Temple. After night rest, on the day of Ganga Dashami, this parikrama will again reach Ramghat via Ranjit Hanuman Temple, Bhairavgarh, Siddhavat, Mangalnath, Sandipani Ashram, Gadhkalika and Gopal Temple.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will offer 300 feet long chunri to mother Shipra.

During the Shipra Teerth Parikrama, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will offer a 300 feet long chunri to Mother Shipra in the presence of devotees. Enthusiasm is being seen among the devotees and local people regarding the event.

Maithili Thakur and Indian Navy Band's presentation will be the center of attraction

As part of the cultural programs organized in Ujjain, Harikatha based on singing of Narada Katha by Pandit Dholi Buwa is being organized at Ramghat from 17th May every day at 7:30 pm. Apart from this, many artists including folk singer Maithili Thakur of Jabalpur along with Shreyash Shukla of Indore and his friends will perform in the Bhajan Sandhya at Dutt Akhara Ghat. Bhajan jamming program by Keshavam Band of Mumbai along with special performance by Indian Navy Band will also be organized on 26th May. Presentation of bhajans by Maithili Thakur and her colleagues will be the main attraction of the program.

Sadanira Samagam 2026 will start from May 27 in Bhopal.

Sadanira Samagam will be organized by Veer Bharat Trust at Bharat Bhawan, Bhopal from 27 May to 2 June 2026. This seven-day event will become a platform for national discussion based on water conservation, Indian culture and Panchmahabhutas. Scientists, environmentalists, artists, policy makers and scholars from India and abroad will participate in the conference. For the first time, representatives from ISRO, JK Trust, HUL Foundation, JK Cement, JSW, Tata Trust, ONGC, Vedanta Group and other big companies will share a platform on the issue of water conservation. Apart from this, diplomatic representatives of many countries including Fiji, Trinidad and Tobago, Venezuela, Mexico, Suriname, Ecuador, Cyprus and Nepal will also participate in the program.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will inaugurate the program

The Sadanira Samagam will be inaugurated on May 27 at 7 pm in the chief hospitality of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. Dr. Ishwar Chandra Das, Director of Geoscience Group, ISRO Hyderabad will be specially present on this occasion. The program will be presided over by Dharmendra Singh Lodhi, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Culture, Tourism and Religious Trust, Government of Madhya Pradesh.

Special sessions will be held on Panchmahabhoot and water conservation

Various sessions focusing on the five elements of Indian philosophy – water, earth, air, sky and fire will be organized in the conference. In these, experts will discuss on groundwater conservation, environment, renewable energy, culture and traditional knowledge. CSR heads from many prestigious institutes and corporate companies including ISRO, Kashi Hindu University, IIM Bodh Gaya will also participate in these sessions.

Sadanira Samagam will be decorated with cultural programs

Dance-drama, folk singing, theater presentations and cultural programs will be organized every day during the festival. Presentations by the Indian Navy Band like Symphony, Govardhan Leela, Ganga Yatra, Nadi Geet, Paani Nama, Jal Pravah and Narmade Har will be the main attractions. South Korea's Moot Dance Company will also perform. Besides, programs based on folk culture of Malwa, Nimar, Bundelkhand and Baghelkhand will connect the audience with Indian tradition.

Films based on water conservation will be shown in Pravah Film Festival

Docudrama films on water will be screened in the Abhirang Auditorium of Bharat Bhavan from 28th May to 2nd June. 15 films each in Hindi and English languages ​​will include topics like water crisis, river Ganga, last drop and conservation of rivers.

Painting workshop will be held on water, forest and life

National Tribal Painting Workshop will be organized on the theme of water, forest and life during Sadanira Samagam. Artists from across the country will participate in this event based on traditional painting styles.

Four special exhibitions will be held on the topic of water conservation.

Four special exhibitions based on water conservation and environment will also be organized at the conference. In these, underground water sources, Jal Ganga Enhancement Campaign of Madhya Pradesh, aquatic life and living beings related to water will be displayed. Madhya Pradesh Science and Technology Council, Barkatullah University and Regional Natural Science Museum, Bhopal will cooperate in this.

Many important books will be launched

Many books related to water conservation and culture will also be released in the program. These include books like Antarjali Yatra, Purovaak, Music of Water in the Valley of the Soul, Yugyugin Water, Water Culture and Architecture and Lok Teerth Mahatmya.

Many institutions including Bharat Bhavan, Madhya Pradesh Tribal Museum, Public Relations Department, Madhya Pradesh Science and Technology Council, Directorate of Archaeology, Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication, SAGE University, LNCT University and District Administration Bhopal are cooperating in the event.
