Top gainers and losers, May 19: Kotak Mahindra Bank, Titan fall 2%, Infosys surges over 4%; check full list

Top gainers and losers: The Indian benchmark indices, SENSEX and NIFTY50, closed in negative territory, paring gains, on Tuesday, May 19, amid selling in private bank and defence stocks.
Furthermore, investor sentiment was impacted by the rupee hitting a fresh low of 96.62 against the US dollar in intraday trade, pressured by a rise in crude oil prices, a strong dollar, and geopolitical uncertainties.
The market had opened in the negative territory. However, it later pared gains and slipped into the red.
During the trading session, the SENSEX advanced as much as 0.57% to hit an intraday high of 75,746.27. Meanwhile, the NIFTY50 touched the session's high of 23,782.30.
On May 19, the SENSEX declined by 114.19 points or 0.15% to close at 75,200.85. Meanwhile, NIFTY50 ended at 23,618, down by 31.95 points or 0.14%.
NIFTY50 top gainers and losers
Kotak Mahindra Bank weighed down on the NIFTY50 index, closing 2.40% lower, followed by Titan Company (-1.79%), UltraTech Cement (-1.78%), Tata Consumer Products (-1.62%) and Bharti Airtel (-1.40%), which were among the top losers on Tuesday.
On the flipside, Infosys (4.57%), HCL Technologies (2.91%), Tech Mahindra (2.59%), Tata Motors PV (2.08%) and Tata Consultancy Services (2.05%) were among the top gainers of the day.
Shares of Infosys, HCL Tech, Tech Mahindra and TCS rose amid a surge in the NIFTY IT index, which was the top-performing sector of the trading session.
NIFTY Midcap 100 top gainers and losers
NSE's NIFTY Midcap 100 gauge advanced by 0.91% or 548.20 points to close at 61,022 on May 19.
The index was supported by buying in the shares of KPIT Technologies (5.34%), Coforge (4.73%), Vodafone Idea (4.59%), Jubilant Foodworks (4.03%), and Voltas (3.85%), which were among its top winners.
On the other hand, its top laggards included Astral (-6.58%), Bharat Forge (-2.26%), Rail Vikas Nigam (-2.19%), MRF (-1.94%) and Supreme Industries (-1.82%).
NIFTY Smallcap 100 top gainers and losers
The NIFTY Smallcap 100 index jumped by 1.17% or 206.80 points to end at 17,863.55 on Tuesday.
The top gainers in the pack were Triveni Turbine (8.61%), Angel One (8.50%), Tata Technologies (6.37%), IDBI Bank (5.64%) and Ola Electric Mobility (4.84%).
On the contrary, KEC International (-3.69%), Natco Pharma (-3.26%), Data Patterns (-2.96%), Poonawalla Fincorp (-2.87%) and Pine Labs (-2.83%) were among the top losers.
