UP Petrol Diesel Price: After increasing by ₹3 on Friday, petrol and diesel prices in India remained unchanged on Monday, May 18. Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) change fuel prices every day at 6:00 am. These rates are based on fluctuations in global crude oil prices and currency exchange rates.

This system of daily price changes was introduced to increase transparency and ensure that customers get the most recent retail prices of fuel. However, despite the fluctuations in international oil markets, the government has indicated that petrol and diesel prices are likely to remain stable for the time being. OMCs will automatically adjust to minor price fluctuations so that consumers do not face any sudden or major shock.
