VD Satheesan sworn in as Kerala Chief Minister as UDF marks return after a decade

New Delhi: Ending a decade of rule of the Left Democratic Front (LDF) in Kerala, the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) makes its return to the state. The six-time Congress MLA, VD Satheesan, was sworn in as the 13th Chief Minister of Kerala on Monday, May 18.
In a grand ceremony at the Central Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala Governor Rajendra Vishwanatha Arlekar administered the oath of office and secrecy to Satheesan and his 20-member Council of Ministers.
